1 OF A MILLION REASONS TO LOVE HIGH PARK

Standard

Our backyard here in Roncy – High Park. Aren’t we fortunate!

“If I ever going looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t look any further than my own backyard. Because if it isn’t there, I never really lost it to begin with.”

PEST!

This little guy (and his extended family) made lace of my lily plants! Who, what is it and how to combat?!!!

FRESH PICKINGS

The garden beside Barque’s patio ain’t just pretty – its edible!

The celery, kale, peppers and tomato are getting bigger, the herbs I saw last week seem to be heading for a second harvest.

The plant is prolific with blooms – but what an existential oddity that each lasts a mere 24 hours! It really puts a new spin on carpe diem.

NOW

A FEW WEEKS AGO

This pretty wildflower with edible leaves and medicinal properties is a pleasant surprise guest in my garden this year…

BUT! As they say: location, location, location.

BECAUSE: A weed is just a plant out of place.

SO: I think I’ll nip this in the bud – literally – before it self sows.

Anyone interested in the seed, lmk.
